To speed up data entry and avoid mistakes, you can capture barcodes by scanning them into the ServiceM8 App when completing Forms, creating Assets, or answering Service questions.
When completing a Form (Forms Add-on), the barcode scan button will appear on questions containing the keywords "Barcode", "Number", "Serial" or "Model"
The question type must be "Text" in order for the button to appear
When creating assets (Asset Management Add-on), the barcode scan button will appear on Text fields containing the keywords "Barcode", "Number", "Serial" or "Model".
For creating a service (Services Add-on), the barcode scan button will appear on questions containing the keywords "Barcode", "Number", "Serial" or "Model". The field type must be Text.
Note: This only works when staff are completing the Service questions in the ServiceM8 app. Customers won't be able to scan barcodes while completing Service questions for Online Bookings.
