*Listed fee is for standard domestic cards only. A higher fee applies to process premium or international cards. Refer to Stripe’s pricing page for your region for more details.

For payments accepted using Tap to Pay on iPhone, the “fixed” proportion of the processing fee is lower than the standard rates, being 15c in Australia (i.e. 15c + 1.95%) and 10c in USA (i.e. 10c + 3.10%).

In most cases, when you start processing live payments from your customers with ServiceM8 & Stripe, you won’t receive your first payout until 7–14 days after receiving your first successful payment. Processing subsequent payouts then happens according to your Stripe account’s payout schedule settings, and payout speeds above.

If your business is in Australia: From 1 October 2026, card networks will no longer permit you to pass on card processing fees as a surcharge for payments accepted through the legacy Stripe Payments add-on. ServiceM8 will stop applying these surcharges, but card processing fees will still apply and will be paid by your business.

Where card surcharging is available, you can choose to pass on the card payment processing fees to your clients some or all of the time. See How to pass on card payment processing fees.
