Can I change the default name of quote and invoice PDF attachments?

Yes, but only within the naming options ServiceM8 provides.
ServiceM8 has a quote and invoice naming preference. If the current PDF name includes the job price, you can choose a naming option that does not include the job price so generated quote and invoice PDFs use a more stable name between versions.
For a single quote PDF, you can also rename the quote version from the Job Diary by opening Version History and choosing Rename. Invoice versions cannot be renamed from Version History.
If you need deposit details to appear on the quote itself, add the deposit merge fields to your quote template: job.deposit_description for the deposit percentage and job.deposit_amount for the deposit dollar amount.
