# Can ServiceM8 be used only from the mobile app without a computer?

> Find out whether ServiceM8 can be used only from the mobile app without a computer.

Field staff can do a lot from the ServiceM8 mobile app, including viewing jobs, completing checklists and Forms, adding notes and photos, messaging clients, and creating quotes or invoices.

However, most businesses still use the **Online Dashboard** for office and admin work such as account setup, staff and security settings, templates, add-ons, advanced reporting, and some workflow configuration.

So the mobile app can support day-to-day field work, but most businesses still use the **Online Dashboard** for full account administration.
