# Can ServiceM8 track job profitability and gross profit margin?

> Find out whether ServiceM8 can track job profitability and gross profit margin.

Yes. With the **Job Costing** add-on, ServiceM8 can show an estimated profit or loss for each job, based on invoiced amount, material cost, labour cost, and admin cost.

It also shows **GP %** so you can review gross profit margin on a job and compare quoted costs against actual job costs over time.

If you need broader reporting across multiple jobs, pair **Job Costing** with **Custom Reports** to report on job cost and job profit at a higher level.
