# AMEX American Express card payments not working?

If American Express cards are not working, check whether **Accept American Express and International cards (higher fees apply)** is enabled for ServiceM8 Pay. In the Online Dashboard, go to **Account** > **Settings** > **Preferences** > **Invoicing** > **Card Payments** and toggle this option as needed.
