# Can the standard job status choices be customized?

> Find out whether the standard job status choices be customized in ServiceM8.

No. The four standard job statuses are locked-in and cannot be customized.

If you need more job statuses, the way to manage this in ServiceM8 is to use [Queues](/help-center/desktop/more-on-the-online-dashboard/how-to-manage-jobs-with-queues) for jobs on hold or [Job Categories](/help-center/advanced-setup/faq/what-are-job-categories) for reporting purposes.
