# How to insert an Allocation Window in email & SMS templates

> Learn how to insert an Allocation Window in email & SMS templates in ServiceM8.

If you use the [Job Allocations Add-on](/help-center/servicem8-add-ons/job-allocations/job-allocations-overview-and-setup) to schedule jobs to staff in allocation "windows" of time during the day (rather than setting a fixed time), then you may want to advise your clients what the time window the job is scheduled in. You can do this, by using the \{job.next\_booking\_time} merge field in your email & SMS templates:

When you draft an email or SMS, the merge field will automatically convert to the relevant allocation window's Start & End Times:
