To update to the latest version of the ServiceM8 MYOB Connector, follow the steps below:
- Uninstall the current ServiceM8 MYOB Connector from your desktop computer (from your Start menu, navigate to your installed apps/programs, find the current ServiceM8 MYOB Connector, and uninstall.
- Turn off the MYOB Add-on (In your ServiceM8 online dashboard, go to Settings > ServiceM8 Add-ons, click ‘MYOB’ and switch to OFF).
- Log out of your ServiceM8 online dashboard, then log back in again.
- Turn on the MYOB Add-on, to start the connection process (in your ServiceM8 online dashboard, go to Settings > ServiceM8 Add-ons, click ‘MYOB’, then ‘Connect’).
- Proceed through the connection process. At the ‘Configure API Tool’ step, follow the on-screen instructions to open the MYOB Add-on Connector from your computer’s Start menu.
- Once the MYOB Add-on Connector is running, click Next — this will start a download of the new ServiceM8 MYOB Connector.
- In your computer’s downloads folder, run the setup.exe file. Note you may need to ‘Run as administrator’, then proceed to install and run the new connector.
- Find the new ServiceM8 MYOB Connector in your computer’s taskbar, click the icon, then ‘Settings’.
- Enter your ServiceM8 username & password in the pop-up window. Click ‘Test’ to test the connection, and once successful, click ‘Save’.
- Navigate back to the setup screen in your ServiceM8 online dashboard, and wait for confirmation that it has ‘Connected’, then click ‘Next’.
- Choose your MYOB Company File to finish the connection process.
PLEASE NOTE: Support for the MYOB Connector is ending 30 November 2023
Support for the ServiceM8 MYOB Connector is ending 30 November 2023. If you are currently using a desktop version of MYOB, with the ServiceM8 MYOB Connector to maintain your connection between ServiceM8 and MYOB, you will need to switch to storing your MYOB company file online, then switch to an ‘Online’ connection between ServiceM8 and MYOB.
Please action this before 30 November 2023 to keep your ServiceM8 and MYOB accounts connected.

Once your MYOB company file is stored online, you can switch your connection type in ServiceM8. To do so:
- Turn off the MYOB Add-on (In your ServiceM8 online dashboard, go to Settings > ServiceM8 Add-ons, click ‘MYOB’ and switch to OFF).
- Log out of your ServiceM8 online dashboard, then log back in again.
- Turn on the MYOB Add-on, to start the connection process (In your ServiceM8 online dashboard, go to Settings > ServiceM8 Add-ons, click ‘MYOB’, then ‘Connect’).
- At the ‘MYOB Link’ step, select ‘Online’, then proceed through the remainder of the connection process.
