Build your own ServiceM8 add-on with AI
Find the ServiceM8 Addon Kit developer toolkit, starting prompt and guide to building a private add-on with an AI coding assistant.
ServiceM8 Addon Kit is a development toolkit launched in 2026 with ServiceM8 15. It lets you build your own private add-ons for your ServiceM8 account with the help of an AI coding assistant, such as OpenAI’s Codex.
You describe what you’d like your add-on to do, and the coding assistant helps write the code and run Addon Kit to build, test and deploy it. Your add-on can use ServiceM8’s documented APIs and add-on capabilities to tailor your account to your business’s needs. You review and test the result before relying on it in your business.
You don’t need a separate ServiceM8 Developer Account or to submit your add-on to the ServiceM8 Add-on Store to use it privately in your own account.
Building with Addon Kit is self-service. You’re responsible for setup, development, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting; ServiceM8 Support can’t provide how-to guidance or troubleshoot your toolkit, workflow or custom add-on.
Follow Create a private ServiceM8 Add-on with AI in the developer documentation for the requirements, setup instructions and starting prompt.
